CBD Oil and Pain

CBD reacts with receptors in your brain to signal cells to respond according to your bodies needs. This creates anti-inflammatory and painkilling effects that aid in managing pain. Chronic pain has been known to be subsided by CBD.

CBD and Epilepsy

CBD helps suppress seizures and increases our options to treat many of these patients with very, very difficult-to-control epilepsies. It appears to work on receptors that alter brain chemistry in a way that reduces the chances of a seizure.

CBD and Depression

Two recent studies uncovered these benefits of CBD oil with symptoms of depression. A study conducted in 2011 while studying the modulation of the serotonin system through endocannabinoid signaling, researchers found “ample evidence that endocannabinoids are important regulators of stress responses.” Thus it can be assumed that, during depression, plant cannabinoids such as CBD have the ability to regulate one’s response to stressful situations.

CBD and Cancer

More recently, scientists reported that THC and other cannabinoids such as CBD slow growth and/or cause death in certain types of cancer cells growing in lab dishes. Some animal studies also suggest certain cannabinoids may slow growth and reduce spread of some forms of cancer.
